The Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) aims to help decision-makers in developing countries design and deliver climate compatible development. The website cdkn.org is their main platform for delivering this information. Over the years they have had different projects, which we have supported by adding new features to the website. In 2015 we create a microsite, Future Climate For Africa, which aims for improve the use of climate information in long term decision making across sub-Saharan Africa.

The CDKN project and website are managed by PwC and Overseas Development Institute (ODI), the UK's leading independent think tank on international development and humanitarian issues.

In the initial phase of the project we reviewed CDKN's existing Wordpress site and made user experience and bandwidth improvements to help them provide a better service for their users. The challenge was to organise their information rich website so that users would find useful content. We improved the navigation by creating curated theme sections, regional pages with interactive maps and country specific pages with relevant content. We also integrated Google search and advanced search functionality.
